AMEA was founded to extract and process precious metals and stones, and to develop agricultural ventures that complement its mining operations. The two sides of the business are designed to work together.
Four areas of agricultural work
- Commercial farming of maize, rice, wheat and soybeans, and cash crops such as cocoa and oil palm
- Agro-processing: milling, oil extraction and food packaging to reduce post-harvest losses
- Livestock and aquaculture: poultry, cattle rearing and fish farming
- Sustainable practices: regenerative and organic farming and efficient irrigation
Bridging agriculture and industry supports food security, employment and economic diversification.
Each at its own stage
Each of these initiatives is at its own stage of development. More detail is on our Agriculture page.
